“Aloha Classic Windsurfing Championships” Top
windsurfers from around the world compete in the final event of the
pro tour. Event will be
held at the BEST windsurfing spot in the world Ho’okipa Beach
Park; Nov. 8th – 10th “Hula O Na Keiki”
Commemorating one of Hawaii’s richest traditions, hula students from
around the state will congregate at Kaanapali Beach Hotel for the 12th
annual hula competition; Nov 25th – 27th “19th
Annual EA Sports Maui Invitational Basketball Tournament” A
great event featuring Kentucky, Indiana, Gonzaga, Arizona State,
Massachusetts, Utah, Virginia and host Chaminade.
We are fast approaching the deadline for our “2002
Readers Cover Photo Contest.” Dig those great Maui shots out of
the photo album and send them in! You could have your photo gracing
the cover! We will be announcing the winner in our January 2003 issue!
We had a reader
question from Ohio regarding the Sept 11th effect on the
Maui real estate market. There
are many factors which have gone into the ongoing real estate market;
local economy, governmental constraints, lagging stock market (which
has helped boost the sales activity) and opportunity. The market
remains strong for properties which are priced right. Following please
