Dear Readers:
Aloha and
welcome to March on Maui!! This month brings the annual “Haleakala
Run To The Sun.” For those running folks who can’t wait for
their next challenge – this race is for you! The 36-mile ultra marathon
starts at sea level and culminates at the 10,023 foot summit of
Haleakala. Said to be the steepest paved road on earth your stamina and
willpower will be stretched to extremes. All participants must meet the
challenge of the strict 10 mile time limit. The race begins at the Maui
Mall at 4:30AM, March 26th.
We had a
question from an internet reader regarding the distance between Maui and
Molokai. Following please that info plus some extras. Please keep those
