Aloha and Welcome to October 2009 on
Maui! A spectacular time to
be visiting our island paradise. Although our “World Famous” Halloween
event on Front Street is still in limbo, because of fringe community
elements, there are still things to do!! Oct 1st – 4th
“87th Annual Maui County Fair” – the oldest and
BEST fair in Hawaii with lots of rides, games, exhibits, entertainment,
tons of food booths, parade, talent contest and fun! Oct 1st
– 4th “Maui Orchid Society Show” held in
conjunction with the County Fair a huge array of orchids, definitely a
must see; Oct 25th – Oct 26th “Xterra World
Championship” a fun and challenging 5K and 10K run kicks off the weekend
with an off road thriller race including 1.5K ocean swim, 30K mountain
bike course and 11K trail run.
