September on Maui! The school bells are ringing throughout the island
signaling an end to summer and most importantly an opportunity to park
the “children’s summer event taxi”…. at least temporally. If

There are absolutely tons of activities to partake in. Sept. 1st
– 4th brings the 2000 Maui Writers
Conference: the most important conference in the world for both
publishing and the film industries. Work, learn and interact with best
selling authors and film industry giants; Sept. 1st – 2nd the Kea
Lani Food and Wine Masters; Sept. 9th – 10th the 9th Annual
Taste of Lahaina: Maui’s largest culinary festival; Sept 16th
the Haleakala Run to the Sun: a 36-mile ultra marathon starting
at sea level and climbing to the 10,023 ft. summit of Haleakala; and
Sept. 28th – Oct 1st
the Maui County Fair: the oldest and best fair in Hawaii
features a parade, exhibits, rides, entertainment and great food.
