with music, dance & Hawaiian cultural programs. Enjoy special
events from Kaanapali to Kihei, including the Banyan Tree
Hoolaulea and Kihei Community Parade. The 1999 theme is Hui Pu I
ka Hula, Together in Song and Dance.

Japanese Paste Paper: Japanese paste paper is a surface
design technique originating in England over 100 years ago. This
two-day workshop will cover all aspects of paper-paste techniques.

Lahaina Yacht Club Wahine Fishing Tournament: This annual event is for
the ladies.

Lahaina Jackpot Fishing Tournament: This locally famous annual
jackpot-fishing tournament is held by the Lahaina Yacht Club. The
tournament has posted several granders (1,000lb +) fish.

French Festival in Hawaii: French Festival celebrates
the excellence of all things French against the lush backdrop of Maui.
Cultural entertainment and culinary demonstrations and rare exhibits
will be held in major shopping centers and at Whalers Village
Kaanapali.

Halloween Front Street: This event gets bigger and bigger
every year with a sense of Mardi Gras. Something you have to
experience
at least ONCE!!
